Since taking over, the Sixers owners have been doing and saying all the right things, from slashing ticket prices to getting rid of the 'Hip Hop' mascot. Unlike previous ownership the new group is about as in touch with the fans as owners can be these days, and very accessible on Twitter. One of the first things they did as owners was open up a permanent suggestion box at newsixersowner.com. At first I was hesitant of the idea and thought it was all for show, but fan suggestions have been coming into fruition more often than not.
The latest change ownership has decided to implement will debut during this Friday's home game against the Charlotte Bobcats. It's the return of the old school Sixers theme song! I'm not sure when this song was popular, but I'm guessing the 80's, by the sounds of it. According to the Sixers.com press release, this was indeed another suggestion from fans, and based on the feedback I've seen on Twitter, this small addition has fans pretty excited.
Listen to the full version of the song here.

better choice of song would of definitely been “Problem”- Louis THA BOSS Williams featuring Meek Millions and Two Necklaces.

I’m only 20 but I’ve been pushing for this thing to come back. A few of us on Twitter post the song after each Sixers victory. Awesome!

i dont mind this song, it is classic and since we have the vintage logo and tony battie we might as well go all out.
however, i might add, my favorite sixers campaign theme was when we used “the boys are back in town”. that was awesome. and swaggerific i might add.

Team of the Year
As I recall, that was the Sixers’ theme song in 1976. The lyrics refer to them as “Team of the Year”, which is how they were marketing themselves in ‘76. “Team of the Year” doesn’t really work anymore. I wonder if they’ll change that line.

Double samesies.

They needed to bring back "Ain't No stoppin' Us Now"!
Remember the version from around the height of the AI-era that Comcast used to run? “Pass the ball to Allen, it goes to Ratliff…” Then “something something something, and that’s two points”.
